Fitness Circuit - week 1
Students will participate in a variety of activities as part of a fitness circuit. They will be exposed to three of the four main components of fitness: strength; heart & lung endurance; and flexibility.

Physical Activity - week 2
Students will participate in a series of activities that develop ball handling skills to experience the differences between physical activity of low and high intensity. They will participate in a class discussion about the benefits of all different types of exercise.

Healthy Sandwiches - week 3
The students will be discussing the importance of eating at least one serve of fruit and two serves of vegetables a day. They will be making their own healthy sandwich for lunch and then be drawing a picture to illustrate their sandwich.

Roller Ball - week 4
Students will warm-up by playing one or two games of tag and then develop their eye-hand co-ordination, movement awareness and ball control by playing a game of Roller Ball. The students will be made aware of the need to drink adequate water while participating in any physical activity.

Ball & Ball Fun - week 5
Students will practise a variety of ball skills, including throwing, catching, hitting and striking, while rotating around five activity stations. Students will be reminded about being SunSmart while playing outside.

Obstacle Course - week 6
Students will examine their school grounds and create an Obstacle Course to increase their physical activity levels throughout the day.

What Are You Eating - week 7
Students will classify the contents of their lunchbox into three categories Everyday Foods, Think About Foods and Occasional foods. Students will discuss the importance of eating a balanced diet for good health.

Local Parks - week 8
The class will take a walk to a local park or sporting facility to discover its features and see how it can be used by the community to provide physical activity options.
